Blackboard Coffee

Self confessed coffee lovers, the guys at Blackboard Coffee in Varsity are obsessed with the stuff, and good thing because they serve up a mean cup of coffee. They serve a standard espresso brew, but you also have the choice to ‘upgrade’ your coffee order to their single origin. They regularly change this but the couple I have tried have been really good and worth the extra dollar.

This cafe is simple and modern with the luxury of having a big open space since they aren’t crammed into the small spaces on offer on the beach strip. But don’t be put off by the location, this place is very popular and rightly so. They also serve food but I am yet to order anything off their menu. It is all local produce and they have a small grocer next door where you can buy lots of yummy local produce too. They have made my favourite things list because they are just a bike ride away from my front door, they make amazing coffee and serve it up in a chic environment.

Find them in Varsity Parade, Varsity Lakes from early til not too late. Good for the morning caffeine hit but not for an all nighter shot in the late afternoon or evening.
