Wanderlust Northern Lights Igloo

I would love to see the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights. To watch these colours dance across the night sky would be truly magical. There is a heap of scientific mumbo jumbo about how it is they occur. It is something to do with solar winds and gas and magnetospheric charged particles. Whatever it is, it is beautiful and there is no denying it.

In Finland there are resorts that have thermal glass igloos where you can admire the northern lights and twinkling stars from your bed. How awesome does that sound. The igloos are around 21 degrees inside and they only have single beds- so no snuggling!

Northern lights season runs from the third week of August and finishes around the end of April. So now is the perfect time to dream about going here!

But … it is $850AUD for 2 adults for 1 night! It is just Wanderlust though. So, Wanderlust Northern Lights Igloo - adding it to your list, yes?

Thanks to wikicommons (and my limited budget for not travelling here yet), images are not my own.
