Muesli Slice
This week we enjoyed snacking on homemade muesli bar slice. There isn’t really a recipe for this as it changes every time that I make it depending on what we have in the cupboard. This is a really easy recipe to get the kids to help out with too.
This week we chopped up some almonds and dried apricots, stirred in some sultanas, coconut, some toasted muesli mix and rice bubbles. To make it all stick together I used a bit of butter, some peanut butter and brown sugar. We pressed it into the tin and after it set in the fridge we drizzled melted chocolate over the top of it all.
Depending on what you mix into it all it is really a fairly healthy option and unlike supermarket bars you know exactly what’s in this one. It is a hit for big and little kids and usually lasts a week or two in our house.
