Wanderlust Brazil
World Cup fever has taken over and people are dreaming of travelling to Brazil. Whether you enjoy football (aka soccer) or not, I think Brazil would be amazing to explore and here are a few reasons why.
Wanderlust Brazil
Images of the big ‘Christ the Redeemer’ statue are synonymous with Rio and while this is something too obvious to miss, it is the views from the Corcovado Mountain where it stands that I would love to see.
I would love to explore Chapada Diamantina, an enormous national park with river beaches, waterfalls, a kilometre long grotto, forest and mesas. And the Parque Nacional Chapada Dos Veadeiros in the North would be spectacular too.
I think you would have to visit a typical gaucho barbeque house.
Swim in the calm waters of the Florianopolis beaches then bask in the sun as I people watch.
Brave an exploration into the Amazon and see what wildlife I can discover.
See inside the colonial churches hidden throughout Rio.
Stand in the spray of the Iguazu Falls that borders Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.
Last but not least, Carnaval, Brazil’s most significant festival would be very memorable.
