Wanderlust First Class
Flying first class now is like booking a hotel room, but waaaay more expensive, and it’s in the air, and it moves. Ok, it’s nothing like booking a hotel. I’m curious to see how the other half live, though I doubt it is really half as such a small percentage of people ever get to fly first class. Actually there are only about 15 first class “seats” and usually 200 odd other passengers.
So for this weeks travel wanderlust I want to know, what do you get in First Class? Obviously we start with the bigger seats, or maybe I should say beds (fully lie flat ones!), better airport lounges, priority boarding, more attentive service, better food, more privacy, extra baggage allowance, you get pyjamas and slippers (that’s why they always wear beautiful uncomfortable clothes on flights!!) and you can charge your gadgets. Enough words, let’s drool over some photos.
Before we get too depressed let’s look at the positives of economy – it’s cheaper; you get to chat to interesting people, it is safer, and you are being greener as it is better for the environment with a lower carbon footprint per seat. I have never flown First Class and while I am truly envious of what they get, especially on a long-haul flight, I’m not sure I want to try it because then when I inevitably have to go back to “cattle class” it will be that much harder.
Have you ever flown first class? Do you want to?
