Wanderlust Massages
Moving house is hard work, hauling things out of the far back corners of the topmost shelves, constructing over-sized boxes, lifting (oh the lifting!), the pushing, the shoving, the child wrangling one handed with a box of breakable glass vases in the other, the general hard work of it all. Having just finished moving all of our stuff from one house to another yesterday I feel that for today’s Wanderlust I need to travel somewhere that I wont actually see. I wont see it because my eyes will be blissfully closed while I am pampered. I could do with a really good massage right about now, and here are some fabulous spas I have found from across the globe. Come Wanderlust Massages with me.
Talise Spa in the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai
You know that tall sail shaped hotel that always has the backdrop of clear blue skies and crystal waters, inside they have an amazing spa where you can get a caviar facial, a gold foil tattoo and a signature massage that blends selective techniques from Shiatsu, Thai, Swedish and Balinese massages. I could succumb to the Arabian pleasures of this place in the blink of an eye!
Bund Five Spa Oasis in Shanghai
You start with a bath of oils and rose petals, a body scrub of red wine, a four hands massage, followed by a facial and another body scrub. I would feel like royalty I think.
Lime Spa at Huvafen Fushi in the Maldives
This is the worlds only underwater spa facility. You can watch the mermaids swim by (ok, slight exaggeration, you better make that clownfish swim by) your relaxation pod while you are pampered with radiance ice cubes and massages.
Saffire Freycinet in Tasmania Australia
A gem of a place just a stones throw away, where amongst other things, you can be massaged with sapphire dust. What a precious experience. (did I fit enough puns in there?)
OK, I have finished dreaming, I am off to unpack some more boxes, but I would love to know where your #wednesdaywanderlust is for this week, or maybe you have an amazing massage experience to share?
*Special note to state the obvious, I have never been to any of these and I have not been paid by anyone to mention any of these. Though if they do read this and would like to offer me a free massage, I wouldn’t say no!
