Meet Cintia, a ‘mumma, maker and craft blogger’ over at My Poppet. With a delightfully eclectic vintage style you are sure to find colourful creations on her blog which are often made from re-purposed items, which is so great. When I asked Cinti what her top five favourite things are, this is what she told me.
Woods of Net in Hakone Japan
We’ve recently returned from a family holiday and Japan and I made sure we visited the amazing Woods of Net play sculpture at the Hakone Outdoor Museum. It was amazing and my daughter Emma had a fantastic time climbing through it and playing. It made me wish I was a child again.
I love visiting Japan.
I’ve been re-arranging and decluttering our home. I have a long way to go yet but already I feel so much better.
I’ve passed lots of stuff on to various charities and sold many of my vintage goodies that I have no need for anymore. I like the idea that someone else will enjoy an item that I no longer have a need for.
I enjoy lots of crafts, but as the weather gets cooler I always start a crochet project. There is something very comforting about snuggling on the couch an crocheting whilst watching a movie.
Exploring the City
We try and get into town every couple of weeks just to explore what the city has to offer. Melbourne is so diverse and I’m always discovering something amazing that was right under our nose.
We have recently finished renovating our kitchen. It was a long project and I was without any cooking facilities for 6 months, which was really difficult. Now that I have a stove that works and the weather is getting cooler I am making tons of soup with lots of seasonal veg.
Thanks Cinti, this list just screams ‘Winter Wonderful’ to me. I have just returned from my first ever trip to Melbourne and it is a beautiful (yet bloody freezing!!) city to explore. On returning home I found that the weather has cooled significantly and it is without a doubt winter, which means lots of soup, warm crafts like crocheting and knitting and a good dose of de-cluttering always clears away the winter blues. Thank you for sharing.
